2024 La Motte Reserve Chardonnay
A luxurious, but light straw in colour, this wine makes for the most photogenic slow swirl in your glass. Aromas are bright and refreshing with citrus blossom, exotic mandarin and winter melon fruit, while a hint of French nougat and pistachio add complexity to the nose. The palate is silky and succulent and lingers with a fresh minerality and citrussy notes reminiscent of lemon meringue tart.
Excellent with luxurious seafood and indulgent patés, this Chardonnay is also a perfect partner to humble egg and cheese dishes, will charm with soft spice and traditional Cape curries. Another golden swirl that works well with the La Motte Chardonnay, is the estate's Olive Oil!

Thanks to its ample tannins and flavourful intensity, this wine is a classic partner to lamb and beef. Also a natural choice with most other types of red meat, it works well
with pork, venison, marinated steaks, rare beef and wintery stews such as a stroganoff. It enjoys the earthiness of root vegetables like beetroot, the herby fragrance of rosemary and thyme, the sweet smokiness of charred onions and of course, the umami of mushrooms.
