Messenger/Driver

We are looking for a responsible, professional, and dependable Messenger/Driver to join our team in the Franschhoek Valley.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • delivering documents, packages, and other items to specified locations
  • safely drive clients to their destinations (including airports, events, meetings, or other locations)
  • ensuring all deliveries are made promptly and safely
  • handling and maintaining packages and documents with care
  • ensure that the vehicle is driven in compliance with road safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies
  • keeping records of deliveries and collections
  • conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any incidents to Management
  • communicating effectively with Management about delivery statuses
  • assisting with other general office or administrative tasks, if required

Product Development and Curation Specialist

We are seeking a creative and strategic Product Development and Curation Specialist to join our team at La Motte. This role requires an individual who is passionate about locally crafted lifestyle products and has a keen eye for quality, design, and trend curation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • lead the development of new luxury lifestyle products, from in-depth conceptualization through to production and visual merchandising
  • collaborate with internal teams and external design agencies, artisans, and manufacturers to create products that embody the brand’s ethos
  • curate a cohesive selection of local lifestyle products
  • represent the brand’s values in product choices, ensuring every item feels authentic
  • build and maintain relationships with suppliers, artisans, and manufacturers to secure high-quality materials and products
  • conduct market research to stay informed of luxury lifestyle trends and consumer preferences
  • work with and train staff to ensure seamless integration of products into the Farm Shop, enhancing the overall customer experience

Personal Assistant (Farm)

We are seeking a dedicated individual with a positive outlook to join the farm team at La Motte Wine Estate in the Franschhoek Valley.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • general office duties and administration
  • diary management
  • setting up meetings and taking minutes
  • handling telephone enquiries
  • managing petty cash and performing monthly reconciliations
  • processing invoices
  • processing logbooks
  • liaison with suppliers
  • assistance with ethical audits (WIETA, IBW, IPW)
  • all other administrative duties and tasks related to this position

Commis Chef

La Motte Wine Estate in the Franschhoek Valley requires a vibrant person, with an abundance of energy and enthusiasm to join the team at L’Ami Family Brasserie.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • measuring meal ingredients for the Chefs
  • preparing meal ingredients, which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits
  • preparing basic salads and sauces as directed by the Chefs
  • taking inventory when needed
  • discarding expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers
  • performing basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized
  • plating and presenting meal items as per the Chef’s instructions.

La Motte Wine Farm in the Franschhoek Valley requires a passionate Commis Chef – Pastry to join the Bakery team.

  • Assist Pastry Chefs to create innovative desserts, pastries, and confectionary items according to established recipes and standards
  • measure and prepare ingredients ensuring correct handling and storage of ingredients
  • assist with inventory and stock management
  • ensure cleanliness of pastry section by following strict hygiene regulations
