Pastry Chef

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • The daily run and overseeing of all pastry and farm shop preparations
  • Creating innovative à la carte desserts, pastries, and confectionaries for all necessary departments
  • Kitchen inventory and stock management
  • Staff management
  • Working closely with all chefs in the run of the kitchen

Applications are awaited from persons who comply with the following:

  • Degree or diploma in culinary arts
  • 4 years experience in a similar position
  • 1 years experience in a senior role
  • An extensive repertoire of pastry and confectionary techniques and trends
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Able to function as part of a team
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines
  • Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays
  • Own transport
