La Motte has always been committed to the preservation of our heritage, culture and art. To further this focus, a series of very interesting talks has been introduced. The upcoming programme includes:



Fynbos in Franschhoek

Protecting the environmental heritage is a high priority at La Motte and includes the protection of the precious fynbos on the adjoining Wemmershoek mountains. On 13 March, La Motte, a Champion of the Biodiversity in Wine Initiative, hosts Dave Pepler, South African environmental specialist and presenter of KykNet’s popular environmental programme, Groen for a talk about the Fynbos (natural shrubland or heathland vegetation occurring in a small belt of the Western Cape of South Africa) found in the Franschhoek Valley.
