Rose van Wyngaard wins in Western Cape Farm Worker Competition

The Western Cape Farm worker competition each year recognises the valuable and important role farm workers play towards the sustainability and growth of agriculture in South Africa and highlights the various career opportunities available in the agricultural sector. This year saw more than 1000 entrants from 15 regions, including Franschhoek.

Rose van Wyngaard was appointed as the overall winner in the category: Social Development. She heads the clinic at Dennegeur and works as a Health Worker at Dennegeur, La Motte, Fredericksburg and L’Ormarins. Responsible for the general well-being of the farm workers and a staff of about 600 people, Rose is also very involved within her community – its activities and development, youth initiatives as well as programmes for the elderly.

Congratulation, Rose!
