2024 La Motte Sauvignon Blanc
R 99.00
With its natural acidity and acute texture, the La Motte Sauvignon Blanc pairs beautifully with seafood, light pastas and spicy Chinese and Thai dishes. This white wine also goes extremely well with acute seasonings, and salty eats such as pre-dinner canapés. A natural partner to goat’s cheese. On its own, a refreshing aperitif white wine.
2022 La Motte Cabernet Sauvignon
R 170.00
Thanks to its prominent minerality, firm tannins and flavourful intensity, this wine is a classic partner to red meat. A natural choice with lamb and beef, it also works well with pork and venison. While it loves marinated roasts, rare beef and wintery stews such as a stroganoff, it is not exclusive to the carnivore. The La Motte Cabernet Sauvignon enjoys the earthiness of mushrooms and root vegetables like beetroot, the herby fragrance of rosemary and thyme and the sweet smokiness of charred onions.
A classic South African Cabernet Sauvignon with an elegant minerality and typical varietal characteristics such as berry and plum flavours and hints of cloves, mint and cigar box. Well-considered barrel maturation and firm but accessible tannins ensure a full-bodied wine with a rich consistency and lingering finish.
2024 La Motte Vin de Joie Rosé
R 110.00
The delicate complexity of La Motte Vin de Joie Rosé with its well-defined notes of nectarine, melon, rose petal and Turkish delight is perfectly paired with the simplicity of leafy salads, delicate salmon and trout or finely sliced charcuterie in summer and comforting fish soup or saffron-scented seafood paella in winter. Made to celebrate life’s everyday joys – whether they are social or simple.
2020 La Motte Syrah
R 200.00
La Motte Syrah red wine is a true expression of its Franschhoek terroir where micro-climates from the mountain slopes and valley floors add complexity to the wine’s elegant character. Syrah wine from Franschhoek contains a natural fruitiness that includes red berries and mulberry, while a small percentage Durif provides colour, plum fruit and texture.
The full-bodied character of this wine harmonises perfectly with rich, flavourful dishes, grilled foods (including grilled vegetables), game (particularly those incorporating stewed fruit and sweet aromatic spice component), peppercorncrusted steaks and barbecued meat in a sticky, sweet sauce. The wine's abundant fruit also latches on to the sweetness in jellies, chutneys and berry sauces.

2023 Pierneef Sauvignon Blanc
R 170.00
The elegant Pierneef Sauvignon Blanc is both a refreshing aperitif and an exceptional partner to food. Enjoy with fresh green salads, seafood and even dishes containing tomato or Asian-style spices that are often difficult to pair.
This Sauvignon Blanc forms part of La Motte’s premium wine collection, which is a tribute to South African artist Jacob Hendrik Pierneef (1886 – 1957), famous for his mastership in portraying the unadorned beauty of the South African landscape and its architecture. Inspiration for the unique linocuts on the label designs was gained from a limited edition of 128 Pierneef linocut prints displayed in the La Motte Museum on the estate in Franschhoek.
2018 Pierneef Syrah Viognier
