La Motte hosts monthly classical music concerts in the historic cellar on the estate, with performances by highly acclaimed local and international artists. The line-up for the last two concerts of the year features the sought-after guitarist James Grace with a special programme with a French bouquet, as well as a very special Christmas Concert featuring the owner of La Motte estate, well-known mezzo-soprano Hanneli Rupert and friends.
3 NOVEMBER 2012 James Grace (guitar)
James Grace is, without doubt, one of South Africa’s most prominent solo guitarists, having performed with all the major orchestras in the country. However, his virtuosity is not restricted to the conventional repertoire. He is a sought-after chamber musician and performs regularly with an eclectic group of artists ranging from the Cape Town Tango Ensemble to soprano Zanne Stapelberg. At La Motte, he will be performing a special programme compiled with a French bouquet.

The concert programme of this year is concluded with a special Christmas Celebration Concert by acclaimed South African mezzo-soprano Hanneli Rupert and her friends in music.
